Here's another delicious Arabian desert called Ma'amoul! There are differently filled ones, varying from pistachios, walnuts or dates. The instructions from DedeMed show you how to make these. Serve them with a fresh pot of yellow tea at your book club or as a midnight snack and you'll be set! Enjoy!

"Flaws" by Bombay Bicycle Club
These peeps are Bombay Bicycle Club. I love their music. Indeed. They're British. Enough said. Find the tab for their song, "Flaws", here.
And here's their music video for the song.
Jack Steadman, everybody.

The Bright Side Project
The Bright Side Project is a website that allows people a chance to win artist swag. Artists donate their works (or gift certificates) to the website. At the end of each entry about the said artist, they ask a little question (ex. what's your post recent random act of kindness?). YOU then answer and if your answer is picked, you get the prize! Easy enough, right? Well, check it out here!
Pompom Flower
Need some fluff in your room? Try making these pompom flowers from Sew Sweet Stitches to hang up in your room. I tried it once and failed terribly. I didn't have the right number of sheets and tried to fold them. Forgot to cut them the way the author of the tutorial instructed to. OOPS.

Recycled Crayons
As a kid, I was always forced to buy crayons from the dollar store, the cheap stuff. But, eventually, I was able to get genuine Crayola crayons, the good stuff. I still have the crayons I used from elementary school. But, imaginably, they are very worn, old, and ugly-looking. So. I decided to recycle them and make them into new crayons using this tutorial!

Homemade Fudge
Skip To My Lou gives you the directions to this easy and delicious homemade fudge. Last time I checked, I believe the marshmallow creme is halal/kosher since it contains no gelatin (it's the egg white that makes it fluffy). But don't trust me on that! Always check!
Vintage Fabric Deco Tapes
Feel free to "ooh" and "ahh"... Get this free clip art from Pugly Pixel to use for your own projects and blogs!

Paper Fortune Teller
This is a fail-safe way of getting in touch with your inner child! I first learned how to make these from the back of an Arthur chapter book. Print out these two fortune tellers, one pre-filled and one you can fill out yourself! I personally filled the second one with the requisite "yes", "no", and "when pigs fly".

Bunny Garland
All around Loyola, one sees little bunny hordes hopping around. THEY'RE TAKING OVER, DONTCHA KNOW? Make peace with the furture world conquerors by showing your allegiance to the bunny race. Make these bunny garlands to hang around your house! (Yes, yes. I know I am a bit late for Easter. Darn.)

Wordle Gift
Having trouble coming up with an apt gift? Try going to Wordle and making one of your own word clouds. Frame the cloud and voila! You've got your gift! Seeing as I love the Beatles, here's an example of a Wordle (though the colors don't jive so well with me)...
Personal Library Kit
Go Twig & Thistle to download the templates for this set. As fellow book enthusiasts know, it gets hard keeping track of the books you lend out (in my case, I'm usually the forgetful one keeping the book for a year). It includes a bookmark/gift tag, a book journal, and tabs. Follow the directions and your library is set and safe from marauders like me!

Tip #1
Not that I condone violence as a good way of relieving stress but I think that these games from Stress Relief Games are quite distracting. Take your anxiety out on the little stick figures, not your roommates!

Halawet El-Jibn
So. I'm Middle-Eastern and I've gotta say... we have some AMAZING food. Here's a recipe for Halawat El-Jibn, or a stuffed sweet cheese desert. Wow your guests with a step away from traditional pie or cake and try this recipe out. My mother recently had a friend make some for her and the two trays of the stuff disappeared in a day. And I had absolutely nothing to do with it...
